The A.U.R.A. Foundation supports young women in need through the Shirley Laverne Project, an initiative intentionally designed to address the overlooked barriers that prevent at-risk young women from staying engaged in school and extracurricular activities, limiting the likelihood of reaching their full potential. For many young women, the challenge is a lack of access to basic necessities and resources that others may take for granted.
The Shirley Laverne Project Personal Wellness Package aims to close that gap by providing essential menstrual supplies, cleaning supplies and the resources or funding needed to provide young women access to cleaning facilities (laundromats, dry cleaners, etc.).
